I think coconut oil is great - it's high in saturated fat which may not work for some people as noted above, but has other antiinflammatory and antimicrobial fats in it like lauric acid that you can extract and benefit from independently. So that can work great for some suffering from chronic viral infections. The medium chain fatty acids n coconut oil seem to have a lot of benefits. It's ideal for those living in the tropics or whose ancestors lived in the tropics.
Unfortunately the big food processing companies based in the so-called “Silicon Valley of Food” peddle their poisonous low-fat brands with a contradictory message as in the video clip below:
