Cause and Effect. Root Cause. The Balance of All Things. These are the main points that stood out in this wonderful article.

Insomnia has been an issue for me since I retired 6 years ago. I worked as a factory rep and traveled a five state area in the south and have lived in the south all my life.

My work days were spent being inside and outside equally during my work hours starting at 7:00am and ending around 4:00pm. I ate lunch at 11:00 and supper at 4:30 most of the time. Never had a problem going to sleep around 10 to 10:30.

Now I eat lunch, supper go to bed and get up a whole lot later and only get outside in the morning and very early afternoons for only a few hours some days.

I am thinking my insomnia is due to this change based on my understanding of your article. Maybe if I go back to my old routine my good sleep nights will return.

I’m going to give it a try and see what happens plus go back and read your article again to find some hidden gems.

Thanks again for this wonderful information and insight to help us all.

The brain detox article could also be helpful, I had a section in there on sleep hygiene. And the brain detox cream can help with sleep also.

The body just responds to internal and external signals. Most people ignore the inciting signals that create the response they don't like and try to provide another artificial signal to force the body into the response they want. This will always lead to further problems even if it does "solve" the initial problem the person had. This is because the new signal will always create further imbalance, and the original signals that creaged the problem are still there in the background, they've just been muted.

Thanks for taking your time to respond and give me some more solutions that might be helpful.

It was very kind of you to do so.

Wow! Incredible Dr Haider. What a Substack this is, though all of your writings are so needed and relevant.

THIS

"Generally speaking it’s best not to try to hack biology by exogenous administration of endogenously created substances: if you make it, don’t take it, because there may be unpredictable butterfly effects that are impossible to trace back. "

Thank you again Dr Haider for so much great information. We always learn the best things from your articles.

Every day at our big mid day meal we say, "Don't forget to Haiderize!"

Which means chew thoroughly and completely, small mouthfuls, before swallowing or taking any more bites.

CAUTION. Haiderizing is not to be confused with "Hydrized"!

We're not too far from Hyder Alaska, where there's a very famous custom involving a shot of 150 proof Everclear and keeping it down to get a certificate and avoid buying the bar a round.

I am thinking of getting off melatonin after reading this article. Supposedly there are numerous studies showing its anti aging benefits and arguing for it for older people but I agree that things are more complex than we can possibly imagine and we really don{t know what we are messing up taking a hormone like this.

Great joke at the end there Dr Haider!🤣 The information you presented is once again enlightening (no pun intended). Thank you so much! Very interesting info about light and supports much information I’ve seen in the last 2 or 3 years about sunlight and it’s amazing benefits. If anyone wants a deeper dive about light, go to Zaid Dahhaj’s substack The Circadian Classroom.

Would that ammonium chloride act like the hydrogen water that is being touted?

Also... another cream.... do you have a side section somewhere with recipes for these creams? The first night I used the brain one I slept for 7 hrs straight -- rarely ever happens. But putting on the honey was very difficult as my local honey is extremely thick. Next night I skipped the honey and was awake for 3 hrs in middle of night... but could have been due to eating schedule.... I've found that if I don't have a solid meal with carbs in mid day I have difficulty with sleep.

When my husband flew to India -- 26 hr trip -- he read up on what to do and decided on the fasting for 24 hrs before flying. It worked for him -- altho he's someone who can fall asleep easily if he sits still for 10 minutes... lol.

for the brain detox cream propolis is even better than raw honey, also wrapping the neck in a castor oil soaked cloth after massing in the cream is much more effective (sounds uncomfortable but it's not really, I use.a cut up cotton t-shirt:

Thank you for the EMF... I'm going to have an apothecary here soon... lol ... I use castor oil poultices frequently on liver and lymph nodes so I've given up on unstained linens... I put the castor flannel on long sheet of the sticky saran wrap, then wrap it around my neck and then secure with a velcro wrap. I forget I have it on.

Dr. Haider, do you have an opinion on compounded methylene blue capsules (from a compounding pharmacy) vs. over-the-counter 1% USP pharmacy grade methylene blue liquid drops that can be added to water and drunk? I have family that have used the compounded methylene blue capsules for both Lyme disease and schizophrenia with tremendously positive results, but I'm trying to find a lower cost, more accessible version for friends who are struggling with long COVID. Thank you in advance for any thoughts on this.

I haven't used them myself and can't say whether the ones available over the counter are of the same quality. I would prefer to get it in glass over plastic if I were to use it. But I would be more concerned about long term unexpected side effects of the dye itself.

Thank you for responding. Yes, I too am concerned about long term effects of putting anything synthetic into the body. And I agree with the glass vs plastic. The methylene blue did make a huge difference, though. My understanding is that its primary mechanism of action is to act as an electron donor which increases cellular oxygenation.

Great article! When on an airplane you can ground your body by putting your shoeless foot on the seat bars that run along the floor. Hydrating before, during and after flying is really important because the massive emf exposure from flying is very dehydrating.

Great point, I only thought about this after publishing the article.

Thank you.

I really like your articles. They are always very comprehensive, usually have some element of humor - which I like, and real and human.
