Yes clonidine is more frequently used in the US than Guanfacine for hypertension. I had never actually seen Guanfacine prescribed to anyone as an adult hospitalist.
I need to look into niacin, niacinamide, NAD, & NMN in more detail. Have heard good things about all of them.

Clonodine is another well known alpha agonist that presumably would have a similar effect.
I think Taurine has positive effects on GABA.
I am also curious about niacinamide, the virtues of which have long been extolled by Ray Peat forum members.
