Back in the 80's Bernie Siegel wrote a lot about mind body techniques to manage cancer, things like visualizing the healing process (t cells eating the tumors, symbolic images to clean up the mess, whatever suited the patient). I found this approach very helpful during a ca journey.

Having recently re-read Dr Doidge's books and the Body Electric this doesn't sound so far fetched.

Please…… Help Fight Against the Sale of Children for the Purpose of Sex Trafficking and Child Pornography

1. Watch this entire trailer……

2. Go see this movie when it opens on July 4th, and………

3. Consider Paying it Forward

The Sound of Freedom

This is a true story. I watched an hour long interview with Tim Ballard, the subject of this movie, and Jim Caviezel. Tim quit his job as a Department of Homeland Security Special Agent so that he could literally, 'save the kids'.

He is 'The Real Deal'. Jim Caviezel is the actor who plays him in this movie.

These men are literally doing 'God's Work', Tim, by performing this work, and Jim by shining a light on this literal EVIL that is among us. For instance, at my workplace, two men were fired and incarcerated within the last 6 months for child pornography. That happened because they were 'incautious' enought to watch it on a government computer. Think of how many are watching on their private computers, and don't get caught. This is a huge problem worldwide, and our country is a primary contributor to this (no other word for it but)…….. Pure Evil.

We have a moral obligation to do what we can to fight against this….

Please help.

Please take a material step and stand up for goodness, on this Independence Day.

Thank you, Elizabeth

Well I'm very familiar with - and use extensively - both EFT and Expressive Writing. With that in mind - do you believe this process is so superior to those that it's worth the investment of time and money to learn it?

I think it's worth listening to the Step One 5 hours of pre seminar recordings for $20. He does report that practitioners and patients who tried other methods resolved long standing issues with his training. If there is something still stuck then this may work where the others did not. If there is nothing to be gained then I wouldn't try to fix what's not broken.

Is this sentence:

they will think that they know what it actually is based on the simplified description

supposed to read:

they will think that they know THAT it actually is based on . . . . ?

No, I did mean to say what I wrote. The point was that based on a simplified description people may think it is something that it is not.

Phew - I read that sentence several times, obviously putting the emphasis in the wrong place, and just didn't get it. Apologies for that and thanks for the clarification!

Saw your interview with Jan Jekielek - which was wonderfully impressive - and immediately ordered - and listened to - Healing by Steve Bierman - I'm thinking of getting a hard copy as a gift for my doctor. And telling everyone I know about the book. It's really amazing. Much appreciate your work.

Sounds like you enjoyed his book as much as I did, it should definitely be the basis of a required communications course in every med school.
