Thanks for writing this. This is super interesting to me because as an acupuncturist I use many modalities in my practice, but none comes close to the magical efficacy of bloodletting. Chinese Medicine Bloodletting is different from the old Western bloodletting as it is based on taking small amounts of blood from exactly the right point, rather than pints from the cubital fossa. As it happens, Chinese medicine has bloodletting points specifically for detox, right on the scapula. The definitive book on the subject is here: https://www.amazon.com/Complete-Guide-Chinese-Medicine-Bloodletting/dp/0692181024 Full disclosure: I’m the author.

Thanks I find this topic very interesting. I know wet cupping is a form of blood letting that is done at specific spots on the body. I expect that toxins would concentrate in certain areas of the body so it might be more effective to remove fluids and blood specifically from those areas rather than the most convenient spot.
